The NASBA Nominating Committee approved Katrina Salazar as chair nominee and J. Andy Bonner, Jr., as vice chair nominee. Salazar was previously named the committee's vice chair nominee and now becomes its chair nominee. She's currently director-at-large and chair of NASBA's Legislative Support Committee and previously served as secretary and Pacific regional director on the NASBA board of directors. Outside of NASBA, Salazar served on the California Board of Accountancy from 2012 to 2024, holding leadership positions including secretary, treasurer, vice president and board president. He first joined the NASBA board as Southeast regional director (2018–2021) and is currently director-at-large.
