Bruce Springsteen’s wife Patti Scialfa is in remission after living with multiple myeloma for more than eight years. Bruce spoke about Patti’s experience with multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer, while thanking researchers, doctors and nurses involved in cancer treatment. According to the Mayo Clinic, multiple myeloma is a cancer that forms in plasma cells, a type of white blood cell. Patti was diagnosed in 2018 but chose not to make the illness public until 2024, when she discussed it in Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Bruce and Patti married in 1991 and have three children – Evan, 36, Jessica, 34, and Sam, 32.
