The Rangers received plenty of interest from other teams for Jacob deGrom, but the veteran decided to stay in Texas. The trade deadline has come and gone and Jacob deGrom remains a Texas Rangers player. Trading deGrom, of course, would have let them off the hook for most of the money left on the 38-year-old's contract. But deGrom is here to stay, even though teams other than the Braves expressed interest in trading for the two-time NL Cy Young Award winner. It wasn't reported explicitly, however, what other teams put their hat in the ring in the deGrom trade sweepstakes.
