The Chinese coffee chain’s revenue increase was driven by aggressive store expansion despite same-store sales declining 5.3 per cent. Overall, revenues of RMB11.56 billion (US$1.70 billion) came from self-operated stores, and RMB 3.67 billion (US$539.5 million) came from partnership stores. Same-store sales growth did fall; reported as negative 5.3 per cent compared to 13.8 per cent growth in the same quarter of 2025. Co-Founder and CEO of Luckin Coffee Dr Jinyi Guo attributed the results to the company’s scaled growth strategy. Total operating expenses rose 29.6 per cent to RMB 13.7 billion (US$2.02 billion), largely due to the company’s business expansion.
