There will be a series of upcoming information sessions on the proposed Senior Citizen Service District. Community Information Sessions on Proposed Senior Citizen Service DistrictSheridan County residents are invited to attend a series of five 90-minute community information sessions regarding the proposed Senior Citizen Service District that will appear on the August 18 primary-election ballot. The proposed district was placed before the voters following action by the Sheridan County Board of Commissioners in December, 2025. The ballot proposition asks whether a Sheridan County Senior Citizen Service District should be established with a maximum property tax levy not to exceed two mills. The community sessions will be hosted by Dustin Stephens, Executive Director of the Hub on Smith, and Bryn Stewart, Board President of the Hub on Smith.
