Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju has called for accelerating retrofitting existing diesel auto-rickshaws into electric vehicles (EVs) within the Core Urban Region to curb growing pollution in Hyderabad. Chairing a high-level meeting, the CS stressed seamless inter-departmental coordination to ensure the smooth rollout of the state government’s flagship development and welfare programmes. Jaju set high-priority targets including Khelo India preparations, T-Fiber rollout and EV auto-retrofitting to achieve development goals. Addressing a meeting on Thursday, the Chief Secretary announced a comprehensive digital dashboard to track the progress, targets, and implementation status of government schemes in real time. A dedicated `Speed Cell’ will be set up to monitor and fast-track their execution.
