Apple has launched a fresh legal battle against the Government's controversial attempts to create "backdoor" access to iPhones. The latest legal challenge was first reported by the Financial Times. Even though the Home Office's latest demands are restricted to UK users, it could still face opposition from privacy campaigners in the US. Campaign groups Privacy International and Liberty have launched a separate challenge to the Government's data demands at the tribunal. Media groups have also fought back against the Home Office's attempts to keep details of the legal battle a secret.
