DeepX, the 7 year-old Korean IC designer, has raised a $30 million Series D at a valuation of $2.2 billion.
Investors were DeepX’s existing backers existing backers BNW Investment and DS Asset Management.
The company says it wants to raise more money to take its funding to $200 million and valuation to $2.45 billion..DeepX says it wants to be the Arm of the AI era – the leader in low power AI ICs.
Its chips are not for datacentres but for applications where low power is key like camera modules, robots, drones, surveillance systems, and edge servers.
In April, DeepX said it had it won more than 30 mass-production contracts from customers across eight countries.
