THE FUTURE of the Quarff hall is said to be at a “critical point” as more volunteers are sought to keep it open. It comes after the hall’s annual general meeting was unable to proceed due to insufficient attendance to reach a quorum. An extraordinary general meeting (EGM) has been called for Thursday 20 August at 7.30pm in Quarff Public Hall. Sarah Harmsworth, chair of Quarff Public Hall, said: “Quarff Public Hall is a really valuable community asset – the only centre point which is for everyone in Quarff – we have no shop, no school, no post office, no church – in fact no other community building.
