Refactor Games, the studio behind recent Netflix release FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, has laid off 85% of its staff, its founder has confirmed. The news followed earlier claims by departing staff members, first reported by Game Developer, that the studio had been shuttered by partner Delphi Interactive. It went on to work with Delphi on FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, which launched exclusively on Netflix Games in June 2026. Delphi confirmed it part-owns Refactor during an interview with GamesIndustry.biz earlier this year.
