The wider Torsion Group remains operational and says it is working with the project’s funders to appoint another contractor.
A spokesperson for Torsion Group said: “We do not currently expect the Guildhall scheme in Nottingham to be delayed as a result of this process.
“Torsion Group is working closely with its funding partners to appoint an alternative contractor and ensure continuity on the project.”
With regret, Torsion Construction could not continue in its current form and was left with no other option but to cease trading.
Torsion Group said further updates would be issued as arrangements for the Nottingham development progressed.
