The first trailer has been released for “Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo,” the third overall film in the somewhat unique franchise about a cop behaving badly. Abel Ferrara helmed the original 1992 film with Harvey Keitel, seventeen years later Werner Herzog directed the Nic Cage-led “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” in 2009. Now, seventeen years on again, famed “Audition” and “13 Assassins” filmmaker Takashi Miike helms this Japan-set neo-noir entry with Shun Oguri in the lead role. When announcing the project last year, Miike said in a statement: “I’m confident we are about to break through every limit, to create unforgettable entertainment. Lily James and WWE wrestler Liv Morgan co-star in the film, which will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
