“Ghosts” and “The Big Door Prize” star Mary Holland has been cast as the female lead in the “Superman” spinoff TV series at HBO Max that centers on Jimmy Olsen. She joins a cast that currently includes Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy alongside Jimmy Tatro as Gorilla Grodd. The crime-mystery-comedy anthology series follows on from James Gunn’s “Superman” films and sees Olsen and others at the Daily Planet investigating various supervillains. The show reportedly has “American Vandal” co-creators Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda on board to write, executive produce and serve as showrunners. Gunn and Peter Safran will executive produce the show which is set up at Warner Bros. Television.
