The Hopkinsville League of Women Voters is planning several voter education functions ahead of the November general election. The event also serves as a fundraiser for the league, and a donation of $10 is suggested for those attending. Also, the league will co-host with the city of Oak Grove a Meet the Candidate event at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, at the Oak Grove Community Center, 1705 Thompsonville Lane. All of the Oak Grove candidates for mayor and council have been invited.
