Samsung Electronics has announced that Prime Video will become the first streaming service to support HDR10+ ADVANCED on select titles globally beginning August 2026.
Evolution of the HDR10+ StandardHDR10+ ADVANCED represents the next iteration of the HDR10+ standard, originally launched in 2017.
Since the original HDR10+ deployment on Prime Video in December 2017, the HDR10+ ecosystem has expanded to include over 183 adopter companies and more than 22,000 certified devices globally.
Implementation and AvailabilityRollout of HDR10+ ADVANCED will begin with Samsung’s 2026 TV models, with plans to expand support to future hardware categories as adoption grows.
Prime Video users with supported 2026 displays will receive automatic access to the enhanced format on compatible library titles starting in August 2026.
