The scheme, organised by Ryde Town Council, will run throughout August at Network Ryde on St Thomas’s Street, offering families a more affordable and sustainable way to prepare for the new school year. Visitors can donate and pick up clean, good-quality uniform items including jumpers, trousers, shirts, skirts, PE kits, and school shoes. The council’s community development team said: "School uniforms can be a significant expense for families. "This event allows families to donate items they no longer need and pick up what they need for the new school year completely free of charge. The scheme will run on Friday, August 7, Saturday, August 8, Friday, August 14, Friday, August 21, and Friday, August 28.
