Ursula Brunetti, who divides her time between the Isle of Wight and Paris, has achieved recent success in two major global competitions. She won third prize in the 2026 Australian Book Review Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Prize for her story Peach, which was selected from 1,174 entries across 32 countries. Peach will be published in the August edition of the Australian Book Review and featured in the magazine’s podcast. Pritchett Short Story Prize and the Oxford Review of Books Short Fiction Prize. She holds a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Oxford and is working on her debut novel.
