Five friends from Frodsham, Chester, and Warrington are preparing to complete the major feat on September 30. The group hope to raise funds for Mamatoto, a charity made up of both UK midwives and Tanzanian health proffessionals. A member of the group preparing to climb Kilimanjaro, Marc Bott said: "My wife qualified as a midwife a few years ago and became involved with Mamatoto's work soon after. The group, also consisting of Kieran, Mike, Paul, and Ross, all aged between 35 and 45, has set a goal to raise £20,000 for Mamatoto. They have been rigorously training for the climb, mixing hiking, gym sessions, and general fitness work over the past few months.
