Following the blaze at an industrial premises in Earlestown, smoke could be seen for miles around, including in Warrington. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that it has sent crews to the scene of an incident on Junction Lane. Residents living near the fire are being told to keep their windows shut due to the smoke, with the fire breaking out at around 8.45pm. A fire service spokesman said: “Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service is currently in attendance at an incident on Junction Lane. “On arrival, crews found that a HGV loaded with hay was well involved in the fire, with two nearby trailers also involved in the fire.
