Amy Gosling attended Warrington Hospital, also now known as North Cheshire and Mersey, at the end of June after waking up with severe pain, bleeding, and clotting. Referring to the gynaecology doctor, Amy, who is believed to have suffered a miscarriage, said: "She came and examined me and said to me, 'Can I use the torch on your phone to examine you?' "What I went through was horrific, but if my voice helps one woman feel heard then I’ve done my job." The Warrington Guardian asked Warrington Hospital for a comment on the incident. Chief nurse Ali Kennah said she sincerely apologises to Amy that she did not receive the quality of care the hospital 'strives to provide'.
