An investigation was underway after an Illinois State Police trooper was charged with sexual assault, authorities in Tinley Park said Monday. Douglass Lee, 54, was charged with criminal sexual assault (victim unable to give knowing consent) in connection with an incident that occurred early Aug. 2, 2025, according to village officials. Officials have not disclosed specific evidence or additional details regarding the case. Lee was scheduled to appear for a hearing on Tuesday at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
