Weather pattern will see quick-hitting showers, storms in coming days
['Nbc Chicago Staff']

The Chicago area saw a stalled out storm system dump several inches of rain over the weekend, but a far different pattern is setting up in the region.
According to NBC 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Brant Miller, a “very progressive” pattern is setting up over the Midwest, which will allow storm systems to quickly enter and exit the area in the coming days.
As Tuesday evening moves along, residents can expect the potential for showers to grow, and that possibility will persist into Wednesday as multiple waves of showers and storms could occur.
More scattered showers and storms could potentially be in the forecast for the weekend, with forecast models still dialing in exact timing for that precipitation.
