Richard Thomason is beginning his third year on the Sioux Falls City Council but with three new colleagues and Mayor Christine Erickson in the early days of her first term, there's a feeling of change in the air at Carnegie Town Hall. Thomason won his election in 2024 with three other newbies, which means that Councilor Rich Merkouris is the longest-serving of the bunch, having just won his second term.
