The B-listed Sail Loft in Lower Voe will be bought by the community after a six-figure award from the Scottish Land Fund. Voe Community Development Association (VCDA) has been awarded more than £100,000 to acquire the Sail Loft in Lower Voe to convert the historic building into a “heritage centre”. The total cost of this round of Scottish Land Fund awards is £2,197,924. Martin Naylor, chairman of the VCDA, said: “We receive this award from the Scottish Land Fund with enormous gratitude.
