The City of Sunderland has announced temporary traffic regulation orders that will affect various routes in the town starting from September 7. The closures will impact a section of John Street, Mount Pleasant, and footpaths in the Hall Lane Estate. The work is necessary for gas main repairs on or near these roads and footpaths. During this period, all pedestrians will be banned from the footpaths, and all vehicles, cyclists, and horse riders will be prohibited from the roads. The road closures will apply to John Street from its junction with Seaham Road to its junction with Ryhope Street.
