David Wallis, 36, appeared before Slough Magistrates' Court on June 19, 2026, where he pleaded guilty to offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 relating to unnecessary suffering and failing in his duty of care to an animal.
The case came to light after a concerned person reported seeing a young ginger cat with a badly injured leg at a property in Wexham Road in August 2025.
The cat, named Jackson, was limping, holding his leg at an awkward angle and crying out in pain.
The officer took Jackson for veterinary treatment, where examinations revealed a complete fracture of his right front leg that had already begun healing at an abnormal angle.
