University of Winchester PhD research student Martin White has received support from the UN’s Independent Expert on the enjoyment of rights by persons with albinism, Muluka-Anne Miti-Drummond.

Ms Miti-Drummond said: "I have consistently observed that harmful stereotypes and misconceptions about albinism contribute significantly to prejudice, exclusion, and discrimination against persons with albinism.
Negative stereotypes in fiction are a recurring theme in Mr White’s research.
