The outline application for up to 230 properties at Broadleaf Park will go before a planning committee at Test Valley Borough Council on August 11, with officers recommending it for approval.
It proposes access through the existing Broadleaf Park neighbourhood, including routes via Babey Avenue and Shutler Close.
However, the proposal has sparked opposition from residents and the parish council, with concerns expected to be raised at the upcoming meeting.
In a post on social media, she said: “There is strong opposition to the application from residents and the parish council.
“I will, however, be speaking against the application as it is against a number of policies in the current local plan.”
