(Image: Alex Shute)It is especially important to the Ukrainian community now, with the five-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion coming up this February.
Winchester Ukrainian Cultural Association was founded in September 2023 and is a non-profit community group that aims to support and give voice to local Ukrainians, with the help of Winchester City Council and Community First.
WUCA’s celebration of Ukraine Independence Day is free to attend and includes Ukrainian live music, a charity raffle, and photo opportunities in traditional Ukrainian clothes.
Visitors can also add a message of support for Ukraine to WUCA’s display, which will be sent directly to Ukraine.
