Quick thinking by Avanti West Coast and Network Rail staff recently rescued a tortoise, which had strayed onto railway lines at Runcorn in Cheshire. Avanti West Coast worked with Network Rail to temporarily stop trains travelling through Runcorn while they rescued the tortoise from danger.
