A young boy who was thrown from the viewing balcony of the Tate Modern art gallery has been discharged from hospital, with his family reporting a "smile back on his face". He survived a 100ft fall, suffering life-changing injuries including a bleed on the brain and multiple broken bones. The crowd-funding initiative, which aims to cover medical costs for the injured French boy's family, has so far raised more than £500,000. To celebrate the end of his hospital treatment, his family are treating him to a tandem paragliding flight, and a seaside getaway with friends.
