The owner of a pizza shop has fronted court defending an outfit which allegedly featured a fake gun and sparked a major police operation. Sydney chef Jacopo Mastrocinque claims he was at a costume party and wearing the outfit of a ‘hero’ when police swarmed him. A police prosecutor alleged Mastrocinque told investigators the theme of the party was “heroes and villains”. “I was dressed like a hero,” he allegedly told the investigator.. Mastrocinque told the court he didn’t threaten anyone nearby and left the party to smoke a cigarette.
