Natural Born Killer, airing on BBC One tomorrow night at 9pm, will explore the death of 54-year-old Jamie Gawler, who was found dead in his Brierley Court flat. In January, Gawler was discovered dead in his Hereford flat, having been murdered in a prolonged, homophobic attack. Matthew Jonathan, 39, who had been given shelter by Gawler after meeting him in mid-December 2024, was later identified as the perpetrator. Over several days in January 2025, Jonathan subjected Gawler to repeated violent assaults, which he filmed on his mobile phone. Jonathan, who had been on the run, was arrested on January 19, charged with murder, and later pleaded guilty.
