Milwaukee adds starter Dustin May and reliever JoJo Romero for the stretch run while sending a pair of high-ceiling outfield prospects, Alexander Frias and Josiah Ragsdale, to the Cardinals. May and Romero are each impending free agents who’ll deepen an already excellent Milwaukee pitching staff. Romero will become the latest lefty reliever to land on Milwaukee’s injured list. MLB Pipeline has him 13th in an excellent Brewers’ system, while he’s 22nd on BA’s most recent list. Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon of The Athletic first reported the Brewers were getting May and Romero.
