Carriageway resurfacing works are taking place in Haddington from today (August 3), resulting in the closure of Mill Wynd, which also serves Haddington Care Home, and various residential properties. The road is also well-used by parents and carers dropping off and collecting children from the nearby schools - with classes resuming on August 12. Similarly, visitors to Haddington Care Home travelling by car cannot access the building from the east, ie Mill Wynd's junction with Sidegate Poldrate, as the road is completely closed there. Phase two of the works will continue from Hailes Green to the junction with the Aubigny Sports Centre car park.
