The proposal, submitted by John Farrar, would see the installation of a ground-mounted system at Moorgate Farm in Irton, Holmrook. The panels would be installed on a disused concrete pad and would generate up to 20kW of electricity for domestic use on the farm. The application states that while no excess power is expected, any surplus would be exported to the national grid. The total panel area would be 49 square metres, with the full array covering 184 square metres of land. The site was previously home to a tractor shed, which blew down in a previous storm.
