The new signage is now in place at the North Western Avenue bus gate to block other drivers using the residential stretch to Leavesden Green roundabout. "The bus gate has been ignored and abused by far too many drivers. Once live, the cameras will detect unauthorised vehicles passing through the bus gate and trigger enforcement action. People understand that the bus gate is there for a reason, and they want the restriction to be respected." Of the 359 vehicles recorded using the bus gate in a single day, only 42 were buses.
