'It's never too late to discover new interests and new friends'

The older I get, the more aware I am of the friends who are no longer with us, and how important it is to maintain old, and develop new friendships.
In this past couple of months, I have met up with two remaining friends from my infant school in the forties, my friend from junior school who lived in our street, and friends from secondary school on a U3A trip.
In spite of the heat, these past weeks have been busy: following Silver Salisbury’s Spring Programme came Safer and Supportive Salisbury’s new programme encouraging wellbeing through nature and the outdoors entitled “Breathing Spaces”.
Silver Salisbury autumn festival programme takes place over four weeks around 1st October, International Older People’s Day.
We at Silver Salisbury were very excited about the fundraising concert Kate Edgar and her choirs had arranged at the end of June.
