The Town of Gananoque is expanding its ongoing stormwater management master plan to include a wastewater management master plan, a move aimed at guiding long-term infrastructure planning and supporting future growth in the community. The expanded master plan will assess both the town’s stormwater and wastewater systems, helping identify future infrastructure needs while supporting sustainable economic development and ensuring municipal services can meet future demand, officials say. According to the town, the study will follow the first and second phases of the municipal class environmental assessment process. The completed master plan will also provide the foundation for future Schedule B and Schedule C infrastructure projects identified through the review. The town is also creating a mailing list for anyone interested in receiving project updates and notifications about future public consultation opportunities.
