Leaky Gut May Make Food Allergies Much Worse
[]
Knowridge Science Report
A new study from the University of Minnesota suggests that a so-called ‘leaky gut’ may make food allergies much more severe.
Although animal studies cannot prove the same thing happens in people, the findings provide important clues about how gut health may influence allergic reactions.
Even so, the study opens exciting new possibilities for preventing or treating food allergies by improving gut health and strengthening the intestinal barrier rather than focusing only on allergic reactions themselves.
