A vehicle caught fire following a single-car crash on the A93 near Beech Hedge Caravan Park in the early hours of Tuesday. Emergency services were called to the collision near Cargill at around 1.35am. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said two appliances from Blairgowrie attended the scene following reports of the single-vehicle crash. The Courier’s Lucy Scarlett, who attended the scene, said the A93 had been completely sealed off by police near Isla Bridge on the Blairgowrie side. Beyond the cordon, the burnt-out shell of a vehicle could be seen in a ditch on a sharp bend near Beech Hedge Caravan Park.
