The journey, led by the Society of St Francis, began in Alnmouth, Northumberland, on July 17 and will travel through Newcastle, Durham, York, Leeds, Bradford, and Manchester before finishing in London.
It marks 800 years since the death of St Francis of Assisi and celebrates his enduring legacy of peace, reconciliation and care for creation.
Sister Judi, of the Society of St Francis, said: "The pilgrimage marks the 800th anniversary of the transitus of Francis (the commemoration of his death), so it’s a very important year.
"Francis was very much about bringing peace, and the theme of peace is especially urgent for our world today.
Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell said: "This pilgrimage is a wonderful reminder that Christ's peace starts with each of us.
