Jorvik Tricycles, one of Europe’s leading tricycle brands, is offering the giveaway to charitable organisations and social enterprises in York as part of a wider competition also taking place in Chester and Southampton. The tricycle, worth up to £1,000, is designed to promote sustainable and inclusive mobility for adults who may struggle to use a standard two-wheeled bicycle. "We’re delighted to work closely with charities dedicated to ensuring accessibility and helping more people to enjoy the freedom of three wheels." Founded in 2014, the company began with Mr Walker building tricycles by hand in his living room, and has since grown into a multi-million-pound retailer. Nominations for the York giveaway are open from August 4 to 15, with winning charities being contacted on August 17.
