North Yorkshire Council has launched a consultation on polling districts and polling stations to ensure they remain accessible and fit for purpose ahead of the next full council elections in May 2027. The review follows recent changes to parish ward boundaries and a Community Governance Review. "Following recent changes to electoral and parish boundaries, we want to make sure that our polling districts and polling stations are suitable ahead of future elections and that they continue to provide good accessibility for voters. Around 800 polling districts and 500 polling stations across North Yorkshire will be considered as part of the review. The council is seeking input from residents—especially those who face barriers accessing their polling stations—as well as community groups, elected officials, and partner organisations.
