The nonprofit WellLife Network held its annual Met Gala, celebrating confidence, creativity and inclusion for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities on Friday, July 31, at the WellLife Network Day Habilitation Program, located at 189-15 Station Rd. With this year’s gala themed around the Roaring ’20s, attendees dressed in line with the time period as they enjoyed a day of themed activities and friendly competitions that showcased their creativity, talents and individuality. The primary purpose of the WellLife Network Met Gala is to create opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to feel recognized, included and celebrated. “Today is one of those very fun days that we have every year here at Station Road,” WellLife Network CEO Sherry Tucker said. “It’s a really fun way to connect all our different individuals that come to our location to our day habs and to give them something different.
