In our monthly look back at archive photos of Aberdeen, August brings us images of forgotten skylines before development, pubs from yesteryear and long-gone Seaton House. With the school holidays still in full swing (not long to go now, parents), our old photos show what the kids got up to during summers in days gone by. One nostalgic image that will take many folk back to the joys of childhood is of the comic book exchange. In 198o, the librarians at Northfield Library had the ingenious idea of hosting a comic book swap shop, which proved popular with local youngsters.
