Fujitsu, Monash University and CSIRO have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to advance quantum research, innovation and workforce development in Australia. The trio of organisations will work together to accelerate the development of practical quantum applications, boost Australia’s own quantum capability, and lay the groundwork for a skilled workforce to be able to meet the needs of a future quantum economy. Potential market segments include cyber security, healthcare, decarbonisation, and climate science. Fujitsu will provide its quantum technology and infrastructure, while Monash will contribute its research and education expertise, and CSIRO will bring its applied science capability to the table.
