Pete Buttigieg on Monday said he’s “more inclined than not” to launch a 2028 Democratic run for the White House in what would be a second campaign to become the first openly gay president. “I think I’m more inclined than not, but there’s so much we don’t know,” Buttigieg said on an episode of “The Diary of a CEO” podcast. Both Buttigiegs were kept from seeing their children for about a day in June after an anonymous tipster claimed Pete Buttigieg had admitted to abusing other children several years ago. They were quickly cleared of any wrongdoing but Pete Buttigieg admitted he was shaken by the experience. Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are considered the leading Republican candidates in 2028, when Trump is constitutionally barred from seeking a third term.
