A long-serving editor with Reach plc has reportedly left her role amid the latest round of job cuts at the publisher. Deanne Blaylock has stepped down as editor of MyLondon after two and a half years in the role and will not be replaced, according to sources at the title. It is unclear whether her departure is linked to last week’s announcement of a fresh round of job cuts at Reach. Following the site closures, Deanne took over as editor of MyLondon in January 2024, heading up a team of 11 editorial staff. But the NUJ’s Reach group chapel has since passed a motion calling for an end to what it called the “devastating cycle of redundancies” at the publisher.
