Orion Pictures to ‘Howl’ with Kumail Nanjiani’s Debut Werewolf ComedyIf you follow Dread closely at all, then you likely know by now how much I love werewolf movies. So, you bet I was excited to learn via Deadline that Amazon MGM Studios’ Orion Pictures has acquired Howl, Kumail Nanjiani‘s (pictured above in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) werewolf comedy marking his directorial debut! Howl may not be an original title (there’s already a great werewolf film set on a train with the title), but I love this concept. An entire feature about him possibly turning into a werewolf sounds like comedy gold. Producers are Weed Road Pictures’ Akiva Goldsman, Greg Lessans and Rachel Wizenberg, and Winter Coat Films’ Nanjiani, Emily V. Gordon and Dani Melia.
